Franson Civil Engineers worked closely with the Uintah Water Conservancy District and Duchesne County Water Conservancy District to prepare a document they could use to demonstrate that their allocated water rights could be put to beneficial use and they could be given full control of those rights.
We identified and evaluated alternatives for developing the Flaming Gorge water rights and utilizing more of the natural flow on the Uinta River and its tributaries. We prepared a number of technical memorandums which included obtaining existing data, identifying and analyzing water systems, developing alternatives to meet future needs of the Uinta Basin, hydrologic modeling, and determining which alternatives were the most viable.
