In the spring of 2013, Franson Civil Engineers prepared a reconnaissance report to document findings from Ephraim Tunnel site investigations made in the fall of 2012. The report documented the tunnel conditions, summarized gathered historical information, and provided rehabilitation alternatives.
The Ephraim Tunnel Rehabilitation Project enhanced the tunnel’s dependability and restore it to its full capacity. By reducing the potential of complete failure, rehabilitating the tunnel will insure that irrigation water is conveyed to the water users of the Ephraim Irrigation Company and secure uninterrupted service of culinary drinking water to the residents of Ephraim City.
