Ashley Creek Rehabilitation Study

A reach of a Green River tributary known as Ashley Creek, which flows through Vernal, Utah, is in danger of flooding each spring. Franson Civil Engineers conducted a study including hydrologic and hydraulic analyses of the stream channel. The study outlined several alternatives for rehabilitation, including bank stabilization, riparian restoration, and upstream storage. Each was evaluated for feasibility based on economics, environmental compliance, and social acceptability.
