Uinta & Green River Water Development Analysis

This project had two main purposes. The first was to prepare a document that the Uintah Water Conservancy District and Duchesne County Water Conservancy District could use to demonstrate to UDWR that water rights allocated to the districts could be put to beneficial use and they be given full control of those rights. The second purpose was to identify and evaluate alternatives for developing not only the Flaming Gorge water rights but also utilizing more of the natural flow on the Uinta River and its tributaries. A number of technical memorandums were prepared, which included obtaining existing data, identification and analysis of water systems, development of alternatives to meet future needs of the Uinta Basin, hydrologic modeling, and screening down alternatives to the most viable that could be carried forward into detailed preliminary engineering and the NEPA analysis.
